Outside learning about the topic of the book.

While working on this (honestly not very good) project, I did some "studying" and found some pretty interesting stuff. Did you know that

– The number of illegal immigrants in the United States was estimated at 11.5 million in 2011, according to the Pew Hispanic Center.

– The illegal immigrant population grew by 27% between 2000 and 2009, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

-The Department of Homeland Security sets up towers over one hundred feet tall stocked full of infrared cameras and sensors in an attempt to make a "virtual net" across the border to help keep immigrants from poring into the united states.

– Fifty-eight percent of the illegal immigrant population is from Mexico. (Pew)
