 Student’s interpretation of book/author’s purpose

When I try to interpret what the author (Margret Regan) meant when she wrote the book "the death of Josseline" I feel that she tried VERY hard to get both sides of the story. she visited immigrants that understand what the border patrol or la migra is trying to do, and she visited immigrants that think that all of the patrol is a load of bulls**t. She also made contact with the people in the "No more deaths organization" who work night and day(but mostly day) to keep immigrants from dying in the harsh desert, along with la migra who track down immigrants and send them back to mexico.
